We have had a MFC-9420CN for 5 years in our small office, which has recently stopped working reliabIy. Initially I wanted to shy away from replacing it with another Brother Model, because our experience has not been as expected.
When scanning the market for available alternatives, I came across the Brother MFC-9465CDN, which was advertised with interesting features that were not available from alternative manufacturers in that price range. We scan all our incoming mail on a daily basis. The main feature of interest for this was the Duplex scanning unit. Rather than manually turning each double sided original, the automaitc sheet feeder scans both sides in one go, whithout slowing down or feeding the sheet again. The whole scanning process is very fast and reliable. It is also possible to scan directly to other network PCs or a USB memory device. The scanning software interface with the PC is also easy to understand and operate.
Double sided printing and copying was also an important selection criteria and this works very well. Otherwise this model performs as it should be compared to the previous one. It runs very quietly and reasonably fast. Everyone in the office is now happy. Well done Brother.
